Kim Coupounas is a visionary leader and entrepreneur who is a passionate advocate for responsible business and a firm believer in the power of the corporation to do good in the world. She is currently a Director of B Lab, a nonprofit organization that serves a global movement of people using business as a force for good and certifies “B Corporations.” Kim was also co-founder, former CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer of GoLite, a global mission-driven outdoor apparel and equipment company. Kim is also past Chairman of the Board of the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), the trade association representing the $650B+ active outdoor recreation industry. She currently serves on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board, the boards of the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado, the Center for Social Responsibility at the Leeds School of Business, and as a Mentor/Advisor for the Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network, the Unreasonable Institute, Boomtown, and numerous other startup accelerators and incubators. She earned an A.B. Cum Laude in Philosophy from Princeton University, an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and an M.P.A. from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She conducted graduate work at Pembroke College, Oxford University as a Rotary Foundation Graduate Scholar. Among her deep passions are spending time with her family, trail running, hiking, singing, doing yoga and martial arts, drinking great wine, and climbing big mountains.

Kim has had a variety of past executive positions in strategy and management in small, mid-size, and large companies. Her experience and skill in these positions has proved that Kim is an accomplished, values-driven leader. She is an advocate for responsible business and the environment, believing that the corporation has the power to do good in the world. Kim is a frequent public speaker on entrepreneurship, leadership, and sustainability, and is a vocal champion of responsible business practice.
