Dong Kwan (DK) Kim is the Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group and the Chief Executive Officer of Hanwha Solutions, Hanwha Aerospace, and Hanwha Corporation. Under his leadership, Hanwha has rapidly expanded its global business, driven by a commitment to building a sustainable future through clean energy and advanced aerospace solutions. Kim has been instrumental in growing Hanwha’s global presence with innovative technologies that support a comprehensive portfolio of green energy solutions, including next-generation solar modules, offshore wind, and clean ammonia/hydrogen solutions. The establishment of Hanwha Ocean, formerly DSME, reflects Hanwha’s holistic approach to clean energy, pioneering sustainable solutions in the energy transition through offshore production, storage, and shipping.

Under Kim's leadership, Hanwha Solutions has announced a landmark $2.5 billion investment to build a complete solar supply chain in the U.S., the largest investment of its kind in the country. This initiative aims to power countless homes and businesses while supporting local communities.

Since 2010, Kim has led Hanwha’s strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum, contributing to critical agendas such as climate change and participating in WEF’s Trillion Trees Platform. In recognition of his leadership and vision, he was selected as a Young Global Leader in 2013. He holds a BA in Government from Harvard University.
