Kim K. Dalzell

As a respected pioneer in the holistic oncology nutrition field, award-winning author and international nutrition consultant, Kim has motivated thousands of cancer survivors and health-conscious consumers toward health by harnessing the healing potential

Kim excels at providing the "rationale behind the recommendation" when it comes to whole-person health. This led to her selection as the developer and teacher of a whole foods nutrition course to medical students for the first U.S. government, grant-funded complementary and alternative medicine residency program at the Center for Complementary Medicine in Illinois. She was also called upon to demonstrate her unique counseling skills and nutritional strategies to Japanese doctors and other health care professionals as part of an international forum on the latest advancements in oncology clinical practice in the United States. She wrote the foreword for a first-of-its-kind Japanese nutrition and cancer book, The Recipe for Breast Cancer .

As a spokesperson for Cancer Treatment Centers of America (a national network of cancer treatment hospitals and facilities on the cutting edge of oncology treatment), she has helped educate thousands of cancer patients in life-changing nutritional strategies. Kim has also collaborated on nutrition-related projects or programs with Asahi Elles (Tokyo), EuroRSCG Magnet, Millennium Biotechnologies, American BioSciences, NSA and Cancer Nutrition Centers of America, as well as regional and local cancer hospitals in America.

Kim's fervor for natural healing and her tireless mission to bring the most current science-based information to her patients makes her a sought-after advisor. After being interviewed on Lifetime Television for Women's Health Corner , Kim accepted an offer to act as a medical advisor for the show. She has been asked to collaborate on projects for Dr. John LaPuma and Dr. Andrew Weil. Other medical/nutritional advisory boards Kim has served on include Singapore-based CancerStory.com, Cancer Fighter magazine, and Taking Control of Your Cancer and Friends Together non-profit organizations.

Readers of the quarterly Breast Cancer Wellness magazine enjoy Kim's feature nutrition column. Her message of hope and healing has been delivered through such publications as Cure, Coping, Myeloma Today, Chicago Tribune, D Magazine and The Ireland Report. Kim's award-winning book, Challenge Cancer and Win! has been translated into Japanese and is currently being used as the basis for a nutrition and cancer course at a college of natural health. Her other publications include: Give It To Me Straight! Q&A for No-Nonsense Nutrition, and two audio CDs: Stop Stressing Out and Start Losing Weight and Powered by Produce! She also edited the Cancer Fighter's Cookbook for Cancer Resource Center.

A motivating cancer-fighting nutritional strategist, Kim delivers powerful and entertaining presentations that encompass so much more than the usual tips of the nutrition trade. Her powerful message of changing the internal growing environment through natural foods sets the stage for audience members to obtain straightforward nutritional and lifestyle advice that delivers actionable and effective outcomes. As a sought-after speaker and recognized leader in the field of oncology holistic nutrition, she has addressed numerous public and professional audiences nationally and internationally.

Kim's passion for helping others with cancer came about when she was assigned to a cancer unit as a hospital dietitian. Saddened by the limitations of her traditional dietetics training, Kim felt like she wasn't really helping her patients. She inherently knew that there must be more to fighting cancer than solely relying on traditional therapies and she began a quest to find an answer for cancer. After reviewing a tidal wave of cancer and nutrition research, Kim quickly realized that cancer is not a one-size-fits-all disease—and that it could be prevented and treated through a multi-targeted approach that included a natural diet. She developed her on-line community, Cancer Busters, as a way to educate and empower cancer-concerned individuals.

Kim believes our bodies can regenerate and rebuild if we change our toxic environment by applying the laws of nature to our nutritional habits. Combined with traditional medical treatment, this one-two punch has laid the groundwork for healing miracles.

Kim lives in Illinois with her husband Mark, two children, David and Kathryn, Alex the Border Collie and Penny the Netherland Dwarf Bunny. Her refrigerator is chock full of produce and she has a therapeutic supply of dark chocolate in her kitchen cabinet at all times.
