Kimberly Lacy

TV Personality of HGTV's "Curb Appeal: The Block"; Artisan Painter, Home Decor and Landscape Designer

Kimberly Lacy was born in Dumas, AR. Growing up, Kimberly always had a knack for the arts. She would dress up in her grandparent's clothes and play comedic roles. Kimberly used her comedic abilities to play practical jokes on everyone in her family. They would be bothered by her antics, but admitted to the joke being very funny.

At the age of ten, Kimberly left rural Arkansas for city life in Washington, DC. While in Washington, DC, she completed her education and blossomed into adulthood. Kimberly has always been a leader and has continuously thrived for success. These characteristics attributed to her being class president and Homecoming Queen of her high school. The same characteristics attributed to Kimberly gaining an internship at HGTV for the show Designed to Sell: DC. Kimberly displayed such an extraordinary work ethic, she was offered a full-time position for the Atlanta version of the show Designed to Sell: Atlanta.

Kimberly adjusted quickly to her role as production coordinator on the show, which led to her promotion as the on-camera lead painter. Kimberly is most noted for her on-camera paint tips, techniques, and demonstrations. Kimberly's talent, charisma, and drive caught the attention of production executives, where she was asked to audition for a show pilot HGTV had in the works. Though the pilot was not picked up, the audition turned out to be a great success because network executives had something else in mind. Kimberly was cast for HGTV's Curb Appeal: the Block. On the show, Kimberly plays herself -- a spunky, out-spoken co-host with fiery red hair, alongside the show's Host/Designer, John Gidding, and the show's contractors, Chip Wade and Bill Beckwith. The fifth and sixth seasons are now in production in the San Francisco Bay area. The show has now been renamed Curb Appeal. The "block" concept remains, as neighbors still get a lot of love.

In Kimberly's spare time, she operates her own artisan paint and design company, Anatomy of Design. Kimberly is a panelist for and has been a featured contributor for Sister 2 Sister Magazine. She also works as a celebrity wardrobe stylist and has styled for national magazines such as Black Elegance (BE) and Essence.
