Kirsten Green is the founder and managing partner of Forerunner Ventures, a leading venture capital firm focused on investing in innovative commerce and consumer-focused startups. Under her leadership, Forerunner has built a reputation for identifying and supporting disruptive brands that shape the future of retail and consumer experiences, including companies like Warby Parker, Glossier, and Dollar Shave Club.

She is also a board member of the National Venture Capital Association and Nordstrom.

As a founder, Kirsten has lead efforts to raise over $250M from leading investors and has invested in more than 40 early-stage companies. Forerunner Ventures is the only VC firm to invest in both Dollar Shave Club and Jet.com, two of the biggest and highest-profile e-commerce exits in recent years, and counts Birchbox, Bonobos, Glossier, Hotel Tonight, Warby Parker and Zola among its portfolio companies. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of several Forerunner portfolio companies including Glossier, InTurn, Outdoor Voices, Ritual and Rockets of Awesome among others.

Before founding Forerunner, Kirsten worked as an equity research analyst, which honed her expertise in understanding market dynamics and consumer trends. Her ability to combine data-driven insights with an instinct for emerging consumer behaviors has positioned her as one of the most influential investors in Silicon Valley.

She’s been honored in Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World 2017, named VC of the Year at TechCrunch’s 2017 Crunchies Awards, and is part of Forbes 2017 Midas List in addition to being named in the magazine’s roundup of "Top Women Investors in VC".
