Without change no butterflies.

Kirsten van den Hul (Deventer, 1976) is the change agent. She hosts, writes, advises and inspires on the crossroads of culture, diversity, communication and change. Her language skills and international experience made her into a real world citizen who rather focuses on what binds people than on what sets them apart. Her motto: “Without change no butterflies”.

In addition to lectures, facilitation and moderation, the change agent offers tailor-made workshops and change projects based on her own method “5 steps to change”.

The Change Agent speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Arabic (MSA and Colloquial North African) and Russian. She has an extensive professional network of 'rain makers' in different fields and disciplines, from culture to corporate, from media to non profit.

Trained as specialist of Eastern Europe, she worked for several international NGO’s, such as Mama Cash and the European Cultural Foundation. In Tunis, where she studied Arabic, she was a trainer of English Business Communication for the Tunisian American Chamber of Commerce. After working as communication officer for LPG multinational SHV Gas Kirsten worked as programme coordinator for Cultuurfabriek, where she was involved in WOMEN Inc. among several other social and cultural projects. Since 2006 she works as a change agent on different change projects and meetings (including NOS, VSB Fonds, Nike, Regieraad Bouw, Amnesty International, Vrouwen van Nu). In addition, Kirsten developed the Platform for Corporate Community Investment for Hart voor Amsterdam. As TCA (The Change Agent) Kirsten is a regular performer on spoken word and poetry events.

In 2011 Kirsten has been appointed UN Women's representative on behalf of the Netherlands.
