Chung Ki-Sun is President and CEO of South Korea's HD Hyundai, a holding company that runs a number of industrial companies, including the world's largest shipbuilder. In this role, he brings his forward-thinking mission to:

-- revolutionize the construction industry, shifting focus away from individual machines running on fossil fuel to AI and data-based, site-level system solutions powered by sustainable energy sources;

-- unlock the limitless potential of the ocean for shipbuilding by leading the advancement of ocean mobility and ocean energy with eco-friendly technologies and AI data platforms; and

-- champion the energy transition, using next-generation clean technology to transform energy and petrochemical industries from within, shaping a sustainable energy ecosystem.

After being honorably discharged as an officer of the Republic of Korea Army, Chung worked in in journalism, management consulting, and investment banking. He joined Hyundai Heavy Industries in the Finance division and worked through several divisions, including Strategy, Sales & Marketing, and Research & Development before being appointed CEO of HD Hyundai.

Born in Seoul, Chung majored in economics at Yonsei University and received his MBA from Stanford University.
