Kita Williams

Publicist and Creator & Co-Star of VH1's "The T.O. Show"

Kita Williams was born in Louisville, Kentucky, as one of five children. Williams was the product of a teenage mom and a father who did not complete high school.

The Louisvillian native experienced many challenges that have given her the tenacity and drive to keep moving forward regardless of her situation. She earned her BA in journalism from the University of Kentucky and later earned her MBA. "The T.O. Show" is actually Kita’s second foray in front of the cameras. Her career started as a news reporter while still in Kentucky.

The most pivotal decision she made was to save $5,000 at the age of 24 to move to California in pursuit of a highly competitive internship with a national media outlet.

After working for the prestigious PR firm, Rogers & Cowan, Island Def Jam came calling where she was named the Music Group’s Director of Publicity for the West Coast. She's worked with big artists such as Jay Z, Mariah Carey, Ludacris and Destiny's Child to name a few. Kita credits her opportunity at Island Def Jam for teaching her the business and introducing her to her sister, business partner and friend, Monique “Mo” Jackson.

Kita has experience as a television correspondent and host. She was recently a speaker on the UNCF Empower Me Tour with her partner Monique where they addressed college students in their workshop called Define Your Pretty Workshop.

Kita resides in Los Angeles with her fiance.
