Head of Brand Accessibility at Google, Brand Marketer, Storyteller, Board Member & US Congressional Award Winner

KR Liu is a nationally awarded disability advocate and Head of Brand Accessibility at Google. Diagnosed with severe hearing loss at the age of three, Liu has made it her life's work to champion the disabled community and advise organizations on how to engage and represent the disabled community in media and advertising.

Liu has been awarded a U.S. Congressional award; 2022 AdAge Leading Women, 2022 Fast Company Queer 50, 2021 ADWEEK 100 Creative, Silicon Valley's 2015 Top 40 Under 40 and 2017 Women of Influence; 2015 Women on the Move by Women's Business Journal, and was awarded the 2019 Future Women’s Leader by Yahoo Finance for her advocacy work in advocating for disability and all the identities we represent (LGBTQ+, gender, age, and education).

Liu’s unique storytelling and vision can be seen in such ground breaking creatives as A CODA Story, A Look Can Say a Lot, and Forward Rhythm that bring the disability movement to the forefront and showcases how technology can transform lives.

Liu has also published a playbook on accessible marketing, which was developed in partnership with LaVant Consulting and Disability:IN, and has been endorsed by the American Association of Ad Agencies, Ad Council, Cannes Lions, and many other leading organizations.

Liu has advised several companies on inclusive design, culture and brand at several large companies in the technology and finance sector such as Salesforce, Uber, Capital One, Cisco, and X, the moonshot factory. In 2019, her project Live Caption with Google was announced at Google I/O by Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
