Kristen Faulkner

Racing Cyclist; 2024 Olympic Gold Medalist in Road Race & Track Cycling

Kristen Faulkner is a racing cyclist currently competing with the UCI Women's Continental Team EF–Oatly–Cannondale. Her journey into competitive cycling began in New York City in 2017 while serving as an investment associate at Bessemer Venture Partners. Her career picked up momentum in 2018 when she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and joined Team Tibco–Silicon Valley Bank in 2020. By 2023, Faulkner had already made her mark by winning the women's road time trial at the Pan American Games, and later that year, she made the significant leap to the UCI Women's Continental Team EF–Oatly–Cannondale.

Faulkner's 2024 season opened on a high note, with victories in the Omloop van het Hageland and Stage 4 of La Vuelta Feminina. She continued to impress with a win in the road race and a second-place finish in the time trial at the United States National Road Race Championships. However, the pinnacle of her career to date came at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She represented Team USA, replacing Taylor Knibb in the Olympic Road Race, and took home gold in the women's road race.

Faulkner also contributed to Team USA's Olympic gold medal win in the women's team pursuit in track cycling. This accomplishment made her the first American woman and only the third female Olympian to win two gold medals in different disciplines in the same Olympic Games.
