Kristi Jacques    

Founder & Director of The Diabetes Wellness Council; Wellness Advocate, Musician

Kristi has spent years managing her own health related to Type 1 diabetes and was a Diabetes Lifestyle Coach for years. She has transitioned to life as a musician while also struggling with severe lung issues.

Jacques's hopes to receive a double lung transplant soon, but for now is continuing to write, sing, play and record her own music. Her goal is to perform live again when she heals. She hopes to inspire people who may also be struggling with their health, to show them that you can really do anything if you set your mind to it, believe in yourself and take it all one step at a time. In 2006, Falk founded The Wellness Council for South Carolina with a goal of educating and improving the lives of citizens throughout the state.

She has appeared on local television and radio programs and featured in publications such as Coastal Business Life, South Carolina Woman Magazine, Natural Awakenings Magazine, The Sun News, and Weekly Surge. She is a Diabetes Educator, a DPP (Diabetes Prevention Program) Lifestyle Coach, and a Certified Ketogenic Lifestyle Coach.
