Kristiina Hiukka is a professional leadership consultant, trainer, coach and author, passionate about the ancient call to action,“Know Thyself.” Believing that the best leaders know their core values, along with what motivates and drives them, and are able to communicate this to their teams, Kristiina felt called to support leaders striving to become better. She founded her coaching practice in 2000. She has been helping managers grow into leaders ever since. She is especially passionate about supporting new managers to get up to speed in their leadership skills when newly promoted. Professionals in a variety of leadership positions turn to Kristiina at the points of transition to help them gain new perspectives, clarity and focus. She reminds them what really matters to them, guides them to powerful insights and helps them see things afresh even amidst chaos.

In addition to consulting, training and coaching, Kristiina produces events and programs through her parent company, Big Agenda Productions LLC. One such event was the Women in Innovation Summit 2012 and the Ignite Innovation Forums that followed. Under Kristiina’s leadership, the conference was highly successful, drawing over 240 participants from around the world, and earning her a nomination for the Sustainable Leadership Award by Sustainable Seattle.

Born in Finland, Kristiina earned her B.A. and M.A. in speech communication at the University of Jyväskylä. She has coached and trained executives throughout Europe, the U.S., and Canada. Many small and midsize companies and larger prominent organizations, including American Red Cross, Vulcan Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Nokia, and Kodak have called on her to coach their leaders and develop their teams.

Kristiina graduated from the Coaches Training Institute of San Rafael, California (CPCC) and is a credentialed member (PCC) of the International Coach Federation and an Authorized Facilitator of the Team Diagnostic™ methodology. She has authored a self-help book, The Write Life Diary – Write Your Life From Good to Great, and a Finnish college-level textbook, Tiedon Kauppiaat (Merchants of Knowledge), for professional service providers about how coaching can serve as an integral tool for their personal and professional growth and for sustained success in business

Kristiina lived in Sweden and Ireland before settling in Seattle over 20 years ago. She serves as the Honorary Vice Consul of Finland for Washington State.
