Kyle Mooney is a comedian known for his sketch videos with the comedy group "Good Neighbor" and his man-on-the-street interviews for "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and "Sports Show with Norm MacDonald." Mooney has acted in the TV shows "Parks and Recreation," "Nick Swardson's Pretend Time," and HBO's "Hello Ladies." He was a cast member of "Saturday Night Live" from 2013 until 2022.

Mooney was born in San Diego, California to parents Brian Mooney and Linda Kozub. He graduated from Scripps Ranch High School in 2003 where he won Best Actor as Prospero in Shakespeare's "The Tempest." Mooney attended the University of Southern California and majored in Film. He performed improv and sketch comedy with collegiate group Commedus Interruptus. In 2003 the three new members added to Commedus were Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, and Nick Rutherford. In 2007 the same three would form the sketch comedy group "Good Neighbor," along with Kyle's best friend, director and editor Dave McCary.

Mooney has been praised by comedian Louis C.K. during a Reddit Q&A in which C.K. said he didn't know many "up and comers" but told fans to "search on YouTube for Good Neighbor" because the "guy in it named Kyle makes me laugh." Writer/director Adam McKay favorited the Good Neighbor sketch "Arrival" on his website Funny or Die and said "What makes this short work is the acting. They play it very real and it makes the turn all the funnier." Even Steven Spielberg sent Mooney, Bennett, Rutherford, and McCary a personal "acknowledgement" after being impressed with the "Hook" parody sketch, "Unbelievable Dinner."

Mooney has written for television programs such as "Nathan for You" on Comedy Central and the MTV animated comedy series "DJ & the Fro." He has also appeared on "Best Friends Forever" and "Wilfred."
