Lana Abu-Hijleh is a Palestinian development expert working for the past 23 years with international agencies in Palestine and the region. Since 2003, Lana acts as the Country Director for CHF International in Palestine, a not for profit international development organization headquartered MD, USA, working in Palestine since 1994 focusing on economic revitalization, community and social infrastructure, democracy/governance, job creation, and food security. Lana served as the deputy resident representative of the UNDP Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People for over 17 years focusing on development policy, resource mobilization, and multi sector program management. Lana is also a recognized civic leader actively involved in several Palestinian and international non-governmental cultural, development, professional, and business organizations including El-Funoun Palestinian Dance Troupe; Riwaq Palestinian Center for Architectural Conservation; Bisan Center for Research and Development, the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the Palestinian Business Women Forum. She is a fellow of the Aspen Institute's Middle East Leadership Initiative.
