Lane Johnson

Offensive Tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL

David Lane Johnson is an American football offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Eagles fourth overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Kilgore College before transferring to Oklahoma.

Johnson opened up about his struggles with anxiety and depression in 2021 and aims to help further the conversation about mental health with professional athletes.

He co-created the OL Masterminds Summit with his friend and OL guru Duke Manyweather in 2018. The annual meeting brings together OL from the NFL and college to discuss the technical and mental aspects of their craft, invest in each other and advance OL appreciation. During the 2022 offseason, he recorded a Christmas album, entitled “A Philly Special Christmas,” with Jason Kelce and Jordan Mailata. The album was an instant success, gaining national attention and raising over $1.25 million for local charities in the Philadelphia area.

Johnson also supported Waterboys through the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats initiative in 2022. The organization works to provide clean, accessible drinking water to communities in need. Has also represented Merging Vets & Players and Feherty’s Troops First Foundation through MCMC.
