Laura Thielen is artistic director of Aspen Film. Prior to moving to the Aspen area 15 years ago, she served as longtime program director for the San Francisco Film Society and producer of the San Francisco International Film Festival. Her other professional experiences include Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope Studios and the University of California’s Pacific Film Archive. Passionate about movies and their voice in contemporary culture, Thielen has devoted her career to connecting global filmmakers and audiences.
