Fashion Journalist, Blogger & Bestselling Author, "Still Lolo: A Spinning Propeller, a Horrific Accident, and a Family's Journey of Hope"; Founder, Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation & Stranded

Lauren Scruggs Kennedy, a fashion journalist, lifestyle blogger, and author, first drew nationwide attention when she courageously appeared on the "Today" show in 2012, following a life-altering incident where she lost her left eye and hand in a plane propeller accident. Following her recovery, Kennedy penned two books, "Still Lolo: A Spinning Propeller, a Horrific Accident, and a Family's Journey of Hope" and "Your Beautiful Heart," reflecting on her personal journey and resilience in the face of adversity. In 2016, she further expanded her reach into the beauty industry by launching a hair product line named "Stranded."

Driven by her personal experience, Kennedy founded The Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation, which offers support to women in need of prosthetic limbs. In 2013, she co-hosted the “Beautifully Flawed Retreat” alongside Bethany Hamilton, focusing on supporting and encouraging young women with similar prosthetic needs. Kennedy also founded The Clean Sweep, a thirty-day challenge to help people transition to clean living in a more sustainable way.

Kennedy was born in Redondo Beach, California, and raised in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University with academic honors. Before launching LOLO Magazine, she worked in New York City for Gossip Girl and Michael Kors. She’s reported on Fashion Weeks in Paris, Montreal, and New York and has interviewed actors, celebrities, and fashion industry insiders. After her marriage to Jason Kennedy in 2014, Kennedy relocated to California, where she continues to share her insights on beauty, fashion, and wellness through her lifestyle blog.
