Lauren Taus

Psychotherapist & Founder of Inbodied Life

Lauren Taus is a licensed psychotherapist pioneering the field of ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). With a mission to guide individuals on their journey back to themselves, she integrates modern science with ancient wisdom to facilitate personal transformation and advocate for systemic change. She is the founder of Inbodied Life, originally established as a private psychotherapy practice, which has since blossomed into a group practice and educational platform. Through in-person experiential trainings and retreats, she shares her knowledge and fosters community engagement in transformative healing practices.

Rejecting mainstream approaches that isolate symptoms from their environmental context, Taus believes that life itself, and effective psychotherapy, are inherently psychedelic. Her training with organizations such as MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies) and the Ketamine Training Center, coupled with her exploration in shamanic realms, enriches her practice with diverse perspectives and tools for healing.

In her work, Taus honors the sacred partnership between humans and plant/compound allies, while recognizing that the most potent medicine lies within loving relationships. Her ultimate aspiration is to awaken people to the enchantment of life and their integral role within it. She firmly believes that personal healing contributes to collective liberation, and she is passionate about sharing her work publicly.

Taus is a sought-after speaker and educator, frequently gracing stages at prominent psychedelic conferences such as Meet Delic, Wonderland, and Trail Blazers. Her insights have been featured in various publications including Double Blind, New York Magazine, Chacruna, the Guardian, and Forbes, amplifying her message of holistic wellness and collective awakening.

Taus' journey began at Barnard College, where she graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Religion. This foundation in understanding human spirituality and interconnectedness laid the groundwork for her later work. She furthered her education by earning a master's degree in social work from New York University, honing her skills in clinical therapy and compassionate care.
