Laurie Hinzman is a well respected educator and leadership coach in San Diego, CA. She began her educational career in 1980. Her extensive and diverse experience includes: state and national consultant and conference presenter – K-12; UC and State college levels; Leadership Coach of K-12 administrators and teachers; school site administrator; strategic planner and facilitator of empowering professional development; facilitator and coach of standards based instructional delivery and curriculum writing; 20 years in the classroom, master teacher and mentor in the field of Deaf Education, Special and General Education; and co-instructor at the state college level teacher credentialing program. Her book, "Leadership, the Heart Matters," represents a culmination of her actual experiences and perspectives as an educational leader and coach. Her leadership approach is lauded by colleagues and widely adopted by leaders and educators whom she mentors. Mrs. Hinzman was honored with the regional (San Diego and Imperial counties) “2010 Administrator of the Year” Award. She lives in Poway, California with her husband, three dogs and one very spoiled cat.
