Lea Schuller is part of the new German generation. She was pre-selected by Steffi Jones for Euro 2017 but did not make the squad for the final phase. When interim coach Horst Hrubesch took the reins however, she did him proud by scoring all of the goals in a 4-0 win over Czech Republic. Lea Schuller represented Germany in the 2019 Women's World Cup Championship.
