The Leader's Institute® is a group of professional speakers and trainers averaging over 15-years of experience in communication, leadership, public speaking and team building. We have conducted training programs for thousands of different companies and municipalities including many well recognized names such as CapitalOne, Shell, Halliburton, Coca-Cola, GE, E-Trade, Boeing, the US Defense Department, NASA, the Red Cross, the US Secret Service, the FBI, the DEA, and dozens of other government branches and departments.

Doug Staneart has been a speaker and trainer for over twelve years specializing in public speaking, sales training, and team building. Doug is CEO and author of the books 28 Ways to Influence People and Fearless Presentations. His current book, Give me an "O," a Standing "O." will be released later this year.

He has accumulated over 1,700 hours of classroom coaching and training. His experience with these other programs makes him a well rounded instructor. Over 85% of Doug's class participants say that his training exceeded their expectations.

Doug's clients rave about his enthusiasm and his ability to "sneak up" on his audience and teach them while they're having fun.

Tanya Thompson's background and experience give her credibility to teach workshops in communication, teambuilding and people skills. She is specialized in public speaking, leadership training and cultural awareness as well as personal and self-management skills providing tools for personal success and authentic leadership. Tanya has international experience as a Trainer/Lecturer at the University of Vienna FH. She has also started and ran a private couching group in Vienna, Austria for both governmental and private sector industries.

Rick Highsmith is a senior instructor for The Leader's Institute® and has twenty-five years of experience in training and coaching. His background as a clinical psychologist gives him tremendous insight into how to motivate and inspire people using positive reinforcement. He has built and sold two successful businesses in the past 25 years as well, so he understands the challenges of leadership ad management from practical experience.

Rick is a certified trainer for Zenger Miller Skills Modules and Zig Ziglar Education Systems. He has also been trained to facilitate Ken Blanchard courses.

Build a Bike

A half-day teambuilding event, which combines community service with a brainy, challenging workshop. Your group will be divided into teams and given puzzles to solve, codes to decipher, and secrets to unlock for acquiring the resources needed (part by part) to build

their bicycle. Teams must discover and overcome challenges to accomplish their goals The completed bicycles will be donated to Big Brothers and Big Sisters or a charity of your choice. As a special reward for the participants, representatives of the charity will accept the gifts and present a framed thank you letter from the children.

During the half-day event, your group will engage both mentally and physically in solving the puzzles of teamwork. We will cover ways to:

    * Brainstorm

    * Problem-solve

    * Communicate effectively as a team

    * Interact positively with different personalities

    * Collaborate successfully as a team

    * And have tons of fun in the process

Guys & Dolls

The Guys and Dolls Team Building workshop is a fun, challenging, program where your group is divided into teams to solve specific challenges in order to build dollhouses for children who either have, or have been touched by a terminal disease. The "Competition" makes the event fast-paced and entertaining. In the end, they find that they are really competing for scares  resources-not each other. Each team is given puzzles to solve, codes to decipher, and secrets to unlock in order to acquire the resources needed (part by part) to build their dollhouse. Challenges are discovered along the way that must be overcome in order to accomplish their goal.

During your half-day event, you'll engage both your minds and your bodies in solving the puzzles of teamwork.  We’ll cover ways to:
