Member, President's Homeland Security Advisory Council; Director, Center on Congress, Indiana University

Lee Hamilton is director of the Center on Congress at Indiana University, which he founded in 1999. He was president and director of the Woodrow Wilson Center from 1999 to 2010 and represented Indiana in the US House of Representatives from 1965 to 1999. Hamilton is co-chair of the Homeland Security Project and the National Advisory Committee to the Campaign for the Civic Mission of Schools. He is a member of the president’s Homeland Security Advisory Council and the CIA External Advisory Board. Hamilton is the author of three books and writes twice-monthly commentaries about Congress and representative democracy.
