Leena Rao is a senior writer at Fortune, based in San Francisco. Previously, she was a content partner at Google Ventures, and the managing editor for TechCrunch, where she spent five years writing about startups, tech and business. Rao also helped lead Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney's community outreach and relations efforts in New York City. She received a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.A. from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
