Actresses, Singers, and Authors

Lennon & Maisy are a Canadian music duo composed of sisters Lennon Ray Louise Stella (born August 13, 1999) and Maisy Jude Marion Stella (born December 13, 2003). They are best known for their roles as Maddie and Daphne Conrad in the ABC/CMT musical drama series Nashville (2012–18). They grew up in a musical family with their parents, Brad and MaryLynne, who are also a musical duo known as The Stellas. Despite never having lessons, both girls have been singing their whole lives and playing a multitude of instruments.

In 2012, Lennon & Maisy began starring in the hit ABC series, Nashville. Lennon & Maisy have gained national attention with their acting abilities. In June 2016, the Nashville series was picked up by CMT (Country Music Television) for a 5th season.

Prior to “Nashville” airing, they had their first taste of stardom when their cover of Robyn's “Call Your Girlfriend” went viral on YouTube. The performance allowed the singing sisters to capture millions of hearts worldwide and resulted in their first appearance on Good Morning America. Now, their YouTube channel has over 97 million views and over 760,000 subscribers.

In April 2013, the real-life sisters had a show-stopping performance of “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers on Nashville. When ABC released it to radio, it not only became the #1 most added song in the nation but their cover quickly rose to the Top 40 of Billboard Songs chart. Their rendition remains the #1 most downloaded song from the hit TV show’s releases. In addition, Lennon & Maisy have sold more singles than any other cast member. Later that same year, Lennon and Maisy were invited to perform at the CMA awards and present Taylor Swift with the Pinnacle Award.

In early 2014, the girls recorded the song "Love" for a Coop Naturaplan TV commercial spot, resulting in the #1 place on the Swiss iTunes chart and #2 most downloaded song in Switzerland for three straight weeks. “Love” has now been certified Gold. Lennon & Maisy’s summer of 2014 was spent doing a performance at The White House, singing at the wedding of Kimberly Perry (from The Band Perry), and playing shows everywhere from Park City, Utah to Portugal. They have performed more than a dozen times at the Grand Ole Opry and have the #1 most viewed video on the Opry YouTube channel.

Lennon & Maisy have had an unprecedented amount of success with the music covers that they’ve released. In 2014, they released a new version of their hit holiday song called “Christmas Coming Home”. The song was featured on the Nashville cast Christmas album and was the US iTunes Single of the Week. They also released a version of “Big Yellow Taxi”, which was featured in an HBO special called Saving My Tomorrow. In February 2015, their cover of Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap” reached top 25 on iTunes and has over 10 million YouTube views.

Lennon & Maisy can also add “Author” to their resume. In April 2015, they partnered with HarperCollins Publishing to release a children’s book called “In The Waves”. The book is based on their original song of the same name. Surrounding the promotion of their new book, Lennon & Maisy made their third appearance on Good Morning America as well as appearances on The View, Entertainment Tonight and BuzzFeed. They’ve also been presenters at the Radio Disney Awards, appeared on the TODAY show, Fox & Friends and countless other media outlets.

Towards the end of 2015, Lennon & Maisy released a cover song and music video for “Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked” by Cage The Elephant. The song received countless amounts of attention while showcasing their current pop/singer-songwriter sound. Lennon and Maisy also released a cover of “Silent Night” in early December. Their most recent cover song and music video release was “Lean On” by Major Lazer and DJ Snake.

The duo has made their mark as rising fashion icons. Lennon & Maisy have been named to numerous “best dressed lists” such as U.S. Weekly, People Magazine, and USA Today.
