Leslie Grace, a singer, songwriter, and actress, has made a significant name for herself in the music and film industry. Her 2013 self-titled album, "Leslie Grace," led to one of her three Latin Grammy nominations. Notably, her bilingual cover of the 1961 Shirelles hit "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" reached number one on both the Billboard Tropical Songs chart and Billboard Latin Airplay charts. Additionally, she has received Gold and Platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Grace demonstrated her acting prowess in 2021 when she starred as Nina Rosario in Jon M. Chu's film adaptation of In the Heights, a performance in which she drew from her experience being raised by immigrant parents. The film premiered in theaters and HBO Max on June 11, 2021. Further expanding her acting portfolio, she is set to play Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in an upcoming HBO Max feature.
Grace has proven to be a versatile artist, having participated in a number of collaborations. She worked with Super Junior on the song "Lo Siento" and featured on tracks like "Si Una Vez (If I Once)" by Play-N-Skillz and "Mi Mala (Remix)" by Mau y Ricky and Karol G. In addition to her Latin Grammy nominations, Grace won the Tropical Female Artist award at the Lo Nuestro Awards in 2016, and the Best Collaboration award at the 9th Bout Awards in 2018.
Grace's musical journey began early. She recorded and released an independent Christian music album while in middle school. Grace has performed on prominent stages such as Sábado Gigante and at the Chile Telethon in front of approximately 60,000 people. She is associated with Sony Music Latin and Top Stop Music, reflecting her standing in the Latin music industry. Of Dominican Republic descent, Grace is a prominent figure among Hispanic and Latina American women singers and actresses.
