Leslie Marshall
Nationally Syndicated Radio Host; Fox News Contributor; Blogger for the Huffington Post
Leslie Marshall is a nationally syndicated radio talk host, Fox News Contributor and blog columnist for The Huffington Post.
Marshall is no newcomer to the world of talk radio; she has been a radio talk host for 27 years and a pundit on national television for the past decade. Marshall became the youngest person ever to be nationally syndicated on radio when she replaced Tom Snyder on the ABC Satellite Radio Network in 1992. She was also the first woman to host an issues oriented program nationwide.
Originally from Boston, Marshall earned her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and attended Emerson College’s Master’s program in Broadcast Journalism.
Marshall started her broadcasting career as a radio news reporter in Boston. Hoping to branch out into television, she took her news skills to Miami, Florida. While in Miami, she broadened her skills by doing news, traffic, weather and even disc jockey work. One night, when hosting an overnight nostalgic music program, Marshall did a special “Remembrance” hour in which Veterans called in with their experiences. It was that night that Marshall was discovered by a Program Director at the talk station across town. He phoned her, and told she might have missed her calling….
After years of anchoring, reporting and hosting music programs, Marshall decided to give talk radio a try; and after one show, she was hooked! She started her talk radio career at WNWS in Miami where she remained for 3 years.
In 2008, Fox News Channel recognized Marshall was special. Presenting and debating politics and social issues from a liberal, progressive & Democrat point of view, they asked her to be a contributor and she gladly accepted.
Marshall’s opinions on political, social & women’s issues can be seen on national television and heard on radio & online; but she also writes about this. Currently, she is a blog columnist for “The Huffington Post” and formerly wrote for “U S News & World Report. “ She is followed by over 100,000 fans on social media and heard by hundreds of thousands worldwide.
For the past decade, her radio program, “The Leslie Marshall Show” is heard nationwide, in addition to being heard on iHeart Radio, Tune In, The Progressive Voices Network, The American Armed Forces Radio Network, Indiana Talks, Pittsburgh Talks, Houston Talks; and, from Podcasts and other online sources as well. The program has been one of the fastest growing progressive talk shows in the country.
On Television, Marshall is seen each week on “The Kelly File,” “America’s Newsroom,” and “The Real Story w/ Gretchen Carlson.” She is also a frequent contributor on “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Hannity.”
