Linda Evans

Golden Globe Winning Actress

Linda Evans is a Golden Globe Award-winning and Emmy nominated actress. Millions of Americans recognize her as the character “Krystle Carrington” whom she portrayed on the hugely popular primetime television show Dynasty. For that role, she won a Golden Globe award in 1982 for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She also won five People's Choice Awards as Favorite Actress in a Drama Series in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986.

Beginning her TV career in soft-drink commercials, Evans received her big break when she won the role of “Audra Barkley,” the requisite youthful romantic interest, on the popular Western series, The Big Valley. In the 1970s Evans landed a supporting role in the feature The Klansman and leads in Mitchell and Avalanche Express.

Her career turnaround came in 1981 with her casting in Dynasty. Evans brought her mild, soft charm and mature elegance to the part and achieved tremendous popularity during the show's run, particularly among women viewers who appreciated her proudly middle-aged brand of attractiveness. She also appeared in such television movies as The Frontier and I'll Take Romance. In 2006, Evans appeared on the ABC reunion special Dynasty: Catfights and Caviar with her former cast mates John Forsythe and Joan Collins.

Evans earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her achievements in film and television.
