Lisa Brenninkmeyer

Founder & CEO at Walking with Purpose

Lisa Brenninkmeyer is the founder and CEO of Walking with Purpose, a Catholic ministry providing Bible studies and authentic community for women around the country. She has written Bible studies for adult women, a young adult series, a mentoring program for high school girls, a curriculum for middle school girls, and three devotionals.

A convert to Catholicism, Brenninkmeyer noticed a lack of fresh, relevant Catholic Bible studies to attract and meet the needs of young mothers. In 2002, with the support of her Maryland parish, she started a weekly Bible study and, within two years, 55 women were coming together to quench their thirst for conversion, transformation, and community. As news of the positive impact of the Bible study spread, the program continued to grow, and in 2008, she formally founded Walking with Purpose as a 501(c)3 nonprofit Catholic women's ministry. Today, Walking with Purpose is active in more than 460 parishes in the United States, Europe, and Canada.

Brenninkmeyer has been recognized by the Catholic Leadership Institute as a National Catholic Leader and was a presenter at the USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders. She has presented the unique model of Walking With Purpose at national conferences throughout the country, and has been a guest on a number of radio, television, and podcast shows as well. She also co-hosts the Walking with Purpose podcast.

Brenninkmeyer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from St. Olaf College and is pursuing her masters in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
