Lisa Damour    

Director of Laurel School’s Center for Research on Girls; Clinical Psychologist & New York Times Bestselling Author

Lisa Damour is a clinical psychologist. She is the executive director of Laurel School’s Center for Research on Girls and a senior advisor to the Schubert Center for Child Studies at Case Western Reserve University.

Damour writes the monthly Adolescence column for the Well Family section of The New York Times and is the New York Times best-selling author of Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood and Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Girls. She is also a regular contributor at CBS News. Damour maintains a private psychotherapy practice and consults and speaks internationally.

Damour has worked for the Yale Child Study Center and is the recipient of training fellowships from the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Yale’s Bush Center for Child Development and Social Policy, and the University of Michigan’s Power Foundation.
