Former President PepsiCo Global Nutrition Group; Strategic Partner and investor

Lisa Mann is an accomplished and proven leader of enterprise transformation. Today, as a board member, advisor or consultant, Lisa works with senior leaders of Fortune 500 companies and emerging businesses – those being disrupted or the disruptors – to design strategies and implement programs to deliver profitable topline growth.

In 2016 Lisa was appointed President of the $7 billion Global Nutrition Group at PepsiCo, where she changed the corporate conversation around nutrition. On a mission to reverse trends in the legacy Quaker company and grow the company beyond “oatmeal and orange juice,” she gained approval from the CEO and Board of Directors to overhaul the base business and deliver a plant-based product portfolio to completely transform their health and wellness business. Phase one, “re-credentialing the core,” turned declining trends into profitable growth.

Prior to PepsiCo, Lisa was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at KIND Healthy Snacks. Partnering with the company’s founder, Lisa implemented the company’s first equity-building marketing programs and launched innovative new products to drive incrementality. As a result, KIND sales yielded doubledigit topline growth and exceeded brand awareness goals.

Before KIND, Lisa was Senior Vice President, Global Gum Category at Kraft/Mondelez, entrusted with turning around the high margin but declining $3 billion global gum business, including Trident and Dentyne. Lisa delivered global share growth by focusing innovation against new “cooling” technologies, while driving ecommerce and retail execution.

From 2008 through 2013, Lisa held positions of increasing responsibility at Kraft Foods. As P&L holder of the iconic $2 billion Nabisco cookie business (2011-2013), including Oreo and Chips Ahoy!, Lisa delivered the Oreo 100th birthday celebration that drove double-digit revenue growth and record breaking PR results. By orchestrating growth-driven innovation and programming while also planning a full manufacturing reset, Lisa grew share and revenue for both the #1 and #2 cookie brands in the category, successfully busting the myth that both brands could not grow at the same time.

Prior to her Cookies role, Lisa transformed the company’s marketing services organization by leveraging emerging digital media that reduced spend by 25% while increasing ROI while also improving the company’s reputation to that of a progressive innovator. Under Lisa’s leadership Kraft launched the first CPG apps on iPhone and iPad while also transforming the business model for “Food&Family” magazine from free to fee.

Lisa’s passion to drive change has been recognized with the marketing industry’s highest honors, most notably: the 2016 Marketing Cojones Award, Advertising Age’s 2015 Women to Watch, the 2015 A-List Marketer awards, Adweek’s 2012 Brand Genius award and, the 2013 Cannes Grand Prix, the highest honor, for the Oreo Daily Twist digital and social campaign among many other gold, silver and bronze awards.

Lisa is an advisor to the Tufts School of Engineering and member of the University’s Marketing Council. She is a board director of Sunfed Ranch, a fast growing grassfed beef company looking to transform the beef industry. She advises several emerging food and tech companies that are disrupting their categories and changing our future, including the Rethink Food venture fund. She received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Tufts University. Lisa and her family reside in New York City.
