Lisa Sansom is the owner of LVS Consulting, an independent consulting firm that provides services in leadership coaching, team facilitation, effective communications training and change management consulting to a variety of organizations, including crown corporations, private industry, and educational institutions.

As an accredited coach, her clients include managers and leaders, as well as aspiring leaders, who seek to improve their positive impact in the organizations where they work. Lisas style is practical and friendly with touches of appropriate humour, and a drive to get to the tough stuff. Her clients are thoughtful, creative and resourceful, and Lisa works with them to bring their natural talents and delights to the surface, while maintaining a highly practical and applied approach.

As a Team Coach with the Queens School of Business, Lisa works with newly-formed teams of MBA students to coach them to high performance under intensely demanding conditions. Lisa has conducted team facilitation from the executive level, assisting with visioning and strategizing, to the functional team level, helping to uncover team issues and to develop and implement action plans. Lisa is also a Personal Development coach, working with individual students on matters of their own choosing, ranging from career questions to time management to leadership.

Additionally, Lisa has contracted to the Queens University HR group in the role of Organizational Development Specialist, driving programs such as engagement surveys and change management for a variety of projects. Lisa also consulted previously to Export Development Canada, Ottawa, a crown corporation that provides Canadian exporters with financing, insurance and bonding services as well as foreign market advice.

She is also the past editor and current contributor for Your Workplace magazine, Canadas authority on work/life issues. She authored a highly successful series on The Change Cycle, which has become the most requested reprints in the ten-year history of the publication. She also authored a five-part series on Appreciative Inquiry, and has spoken at the magazines annual conference. Lisa currently reviews business books for this national publication.

Other speaking engagements include the KEDCOs Bridges to Better Business conference, Kingston CSTD (Canadian Society for Training and Development) chapter, the annual HRPA (Human Resources Professionals Association) Dine-Around event, and JCIs (Junior Chamber International) Annual Conference. Lisa has also facilitated team retreats, both as a speaker and co-ordinator / designer.

An accomplished trainer, Lisa has designed and delivered courses on change management, introductory coaching, effective interpersonal communications, and cross-cultural dynamics.

Lisa obtained her MBA from the Rotman School of Management, and earned her coaching accreditation from Adler International Learning / OISE-UT. She recently earned her MAPP (Master of Applied Positive Psychology) from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. In addition she holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University.
