Lisa Sugar is the founder and president of POPSUGAR, a global media and technology company and the number one lifestyle brand for young women. Her first book, 'POWER YOUR HAPPY: Work Hard, Play Nice & Build Your Dream Life' (Dutton; 2016), chronicles what she's learned on her journey building the company, which now attracts a monthly audience of 100 million visitors worldwide and garners 2.5 billion content views and 300 million video views. Prior to POPSUGAR, Lisa served as a media planner at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Lisa graduated with a BA from The George Washington University. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, three daughters, and two dogs.

Lisa Sugar is co-founder and editor-in-chief for POPSUGAR. An insatiable appetite for celebrities and the world of entertainment led Sugar to join with her husband Brian to create POPSUGAR as a hobby in 2006. Since then, as editor-in-chief, she has grown POPSUGAR into the go-to web destination for a primarily female audience across such areas as entertainment, celebrity, fashion, beauty, fitness, food, romance, parenting and more, known for its distinct voice as well as premium editorial and video made fresh daily. She oversees a staff of 60 editors who create content for the 18 lifestyle and entertainment sites that comprise the growing POPSUGAR network. Sugar previously served as a media planner at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and at Young & Rubicam. She began her career at Showtime and Fox after graduating in 1998 as a double major in psychology and English from The George Washington University.
