Lise Buyer is the founder and Managing Partner of the Class V Group, an organization providing strategic and logistical guidance to companies pursuing an initial public offering or direct listing. Buyer founded Class V Group to leverage her unique perspective on the equity markets gained from having first-hand experience as an institutional investor, investment banker, venture capitalist, board member and internal IPO strategist and project manager.

Previously, Buyer worked for Google Inc. where she was one of the chief architects of the company’s innovative IPO and a recipient of Google’s highest employee accolade, the Google Founders’ Award.

Prior to Google, Buyer had a wide ranging career in the investment industry, as an investor for the Technology Team of T. Rowe Price Associates, the top performing technology mutual fund at the time, and later as an investment banker at the Credit Suisse Technology Group, where she was Director of the Internet/New Media research practice. She began her career on Wall Street as an analyst of both the technology and entertainment industries.

Buyer is the Lead Independent Director on the board of The TradeDesk. She is also Chair of the Nom/Gov Committee and serves on the Audit Committee. She was previously Chairman of the Independent Directors for Greenfield Online until that company’s acquisition by Microsoft. She has earned the ACCD Professional Director certification and has earned the NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) Directorship Certified designation.

In 2023, Forbes named her to their "50 Over 50" list.

Buyer holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University as an Owen Merit Scholar. She is a past Trustee of the Nichols School, was a Charter member of the TED Braintrust and former Fellow of the Davos World Economic Forum.
