In addition to the weekly content she posts on Liza Koshy and Liza Koshy Too on YouTube, Koshy signed a first–look production and executive producer overall deal with MTV. Under the deal, Koshy develops and produces original content for the network. Liza was also seen in a Vogue 73 Questions video, answering questions as herself, and as her alter ego, Jet Packinski.
In 2017, she launched a holiday special with YouTubeRED titled “Jingle Ballin.” Prior to that in 2016, she played the role of Aday in Tyler Perry’s 2016 theatrical hit “BOO! A MADEA HALLOWEEN.” In October, Liza reprised her role in HULU’s “Freakish,” as high school bad girl Violet Adams. She both produces and stars as the title character in the YouTube Premium comedy series Liza on Demand, which was released in June 2018. Koshy has hosted the Nickelodeon game show revival Double Dar since June 2018.
In addition to these roles in film and television, Liza hosted the 2017 Golden Globes live pre-show, which had a record-breaking 2.7 million live Twitter viewers, and interviewed President Barack Obama to encourage voter registration for the 2016 presidential election. She has been a brand ambassador for many companies including Beats by Dr. Dre, VISA, and NIKE.
