Lola Ogunnaike is one of the leading cultural authorities in the United States. In her decade long journalism career she’s traveled the globe, interviewing everyone from Michelle Obama to Sting.

She is currently a "Today Show" contributor, discussing all things pop culture for the number one morning show. Before the "Today Show," Ogunnaike was an entertainment reporter for CNN’s flagship show, “American Morning,” where she covered the inauguration, Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, as well as style, trend and fashion stories. Prior to joining CNN, Ogunnaike spent five years as an Arts & Leisure and Style reporter at the New York Times.

She has also been a reporter at the New York Daily News and a contributing writer for Vibe and Rolling Stone magazine. Her articles have also appeared in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, New York Magazine, USA Today, Glamour and Food & Wine. In 2010, Ogunnaike’s work was featured in the annual “Best Music Writing” anthology. In May 2007, she was named one of Ebony magazine's "150 Most Influential Blacks in America."
