I am a motivational/Inspirational speaker who is a survivor of the foster care system. I strive to inspire, motivate, as well as learn from each and every opportunity presented me. Believe me, our stories are always going to be much greater than we are.

Raised by an adoptive mother who died unexpectedly at age 10, I entered the state foster system where I remained until the ripe old age of 16. During my nearly six years within the foster care system, believe it or not...I learned the rudiments that would serve me well for what was yet to be...the most difficult period of my life. I had a brief glimpse of fame in 1988 when I created the world's first apology company; APOLOGY ACCEPTED which was featured in PEOPLE Magazine and was to remain a HOT TOPIC across the world for nearly 2 years. I segued from those proverbial "15 minutes of fame" into the beginning of the darkest segment of my adulthood; drug addiction and years of legal troubles! I worked diligently while "sleeping with the enemy" to hone the craft of first motivating myself, so that one day I might motivate and uplift others...that day is now.

Paying It Forward: Worth It Or Not?

Random acts of kindness, going out of one's way, doing something "just because", all lead into the Pay It Forward concept. This talk is designed to reconnect the listener to the age old concept of treating others the way you would like to be treated. This talk presents example upon example of just how easy it is to intrinsically weave the Pay It Forward concept into one's everyday lifestyle. Once the Pay It Forward concept becomes a part of an individuals core spirit and is not something reserved for those days when one is "on top of the world", magnificent changes for the good begin to happen in ways never before experienced. Paying It Forward is a concept that all audiences benefit from being reminded that...unconditional anything can and in most cases WILL get you everything you desire in life.

Eliminating Words That Deceive

The power of the spoken word is highly under-rated. Society embraces literally thousands of words that are designed to have a negative impact on not only the individuals life, but the lives of those the individual impacts. Words that deceive are subtle, cunning, and yet possess enormous power over the direction our lives go. How lucky, sure is "weird" how..., isn't it "funny" how it always...., Man, it's cold as "hell" in here..., are a few examples. I spent over 3 years cleaning out my vocabulary wardrobe of these vicious, reality stealing words/phrases. I open the door through this talk to many other avenues that allow for my SNAP! theory...Seizing New Alternative Possibilities. My audiences walk away changed for the better, and in a huge way!

The Ripple Effect

Every action demands some form of a reaction! Each and every thing we do, say, think, and feel...has an effect known as The Ripple Effect. No matter large or small, intended or accidental, positive or negative...there will be a ripple created that has the potential to impact countless people, situations...things. We each must understand the power of The Ripple Effect, for one day when the footage of our lives is shown on the big screen in living color, we will be made aware of the impact all of our choices/decisions has made...and we shall be held accountable accordingly.
