Non-Profit CEO & Social Impact Leader

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region, Lori oversees an $80 million job training, thrift retail and recycling nonprofit covering 15 counties in western and southwest Washington. Through this unique social enterprise, Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region is able to provide free education, job placement and career pathway services to thousands of people each year, including youth, older workers, military veterans, and people with disabilities, among others. Lori is proud and humbled to serve as the leader of an amazingly dedicated 1,500-person Goodwill team. Lori came to Goodwill from the Microsoft Corporation where she served as Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Philanthropies, a $1 billion+ annual giving program dedicated to increasing digital inclusion and empowerment. Her prior work at Microsoft included her position as General Manager of Citizenship and Public Affairs, where she led the company’s corporate citizenship team and initiatives.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Lori led brand marketing and public affairs programs on a national and global scale across a number of industries, including automotive, health care, professional services and information technology. In these capacities, she served as a Managing Director of Burson-Marsteller, a National Marketing Director of Deloitte & Touche, and the Global Public Affairs Director of the Business Software Alliance. Lori holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University of Connecticut and a master of business administration from George Washington University. Lori serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation and is a member of Class XXVI of the American Leadership Forum of Tacoma/Pierce County. Lori has also served in a number of other nonprofit capacities, including the Board of Directors of City Year Seattle/King County, the Advisory Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Corporate Citizenship Center, and the Executive Forum of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and she is a member of the Washington Chapter of the International Women’s Federation.
