Loris Diran

Award-Winning Celebrity Fashion Designer

Acclaimed U.S. fashion designer Loris Diran is of French-Armenian descent and immigrated to America at an early age, where his family settled on New York's upper west side. It was NYC's glam culture as well it's Urban Grit that gave birth to his aesthetic, which Diran describes as ‘A dialogue between Sartorial and Streetwear’.

With 30 years of international experience behind him, Loris Diran cut his teeth working for such legendary design houses as VERSACE, CLAUDE MONTANA, and CHANEL. It was at these institutions Diran learned the key elements of style and embraced conceptual design as a lifestyle.

Loris has shown his collections as part of New York Fashion Week 15 times and has designed costumes for the Philadelphia Ballet’s ‘Ballet X’, as well as key men’s wardrobe for the hit film, ‘Devil Wears Prada’. Most recently, Diran created special effects costumes for the suspense thriller, ‘Daughter of God’ starring Keanu Reeves and Mira Sorvino. He has also appeared as a guest star on 5 episodes of BRAVO’s ‘REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY’, as well as ‘CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL’, and STYLE Channel’s ‘BUILT’.

Loris Diran’s growing presence in the design community earned him an invitation to debut his collection on the runways of Milan as a guest of VOGUE ITALIA and MILANO UNICA in September 2010 and he jumpstarted 2011 by receiving the FASHION GROUP INTERNATIONAL ‘RISING STAR’ Award for Best Menswear Designer.

Diran was once again honored to be a finalist for the FASHION GROUP INTERNATIONAL ‘RISING STAR’ award in 2013 for Best Womenswear Designer. He also debuted his collection on the runways of Hong Kong Fashion Week in January 2015 as a guest of the Hong Kong Trade commission and, most recently, has shown as part of NEW YORK FASHION WEEK: MEN’S since its inaugural season that same year. Diran divides his time between the U.S.A and Asia where he serves as Creative Director for a number of prominent menswear brands.
