Lorraine Howell has spent a career helping others make quality connections with their most important customers, business partners, and the media. Since 1998, she has been the founder and owner of Media Skills Training, a consulting firm delivering expertise in message development, presentation skills, media interview skills, and crisis communications. She spent over a dozen years as a broadcast industry insider, giving her a unique perspective on effective ways to work with the media and engage an audience.
She is known for her direct, down-to-earth style and common-sense approach, and her ability to help clients:

* develop tailor-made messages that have clarity, impact, and sizzle
* polish their interview skills
* present with clarity and confidence to important audiences -- including the media

Lorraine has worked with many well-respected companies and has earned rave reviews from them.
Her extensive media background includes more than 12 years in live television news and talk show production, with stints as a television producer for top-rated shows at Fox affiliate KTVU and CBS affiliate KPIX, both in the San Francisco Bay Area. She covered "Camp O.J." during the Simpson murder trial in Los Angeles, and produced live broadcasts from the White House and the Capitol in Washington D.C.
Lorraine is the author of the book Give Your Elevator Speech a Lift, published by Book Publishers Network in 2006. She graduated cum laude from the University of Washington and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is also a member of Women in Communications, Women Business Owners, Public Relations Society of America, the National Speakers Association, Executive Women International, and the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce.
