Country Music Duo Known for "Angel Eyes" & "Runaway"

Love and Theft, a country music duo composed of Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles, first came onto the scene in 2006. Since then, they have created a notable presence in the world of country music, signing with renowned labels such as RCA Nashville and Curb Records. The duo's achievements include their single "Angel Eyes," reaching number one on the Hot Country Songs chart and embarking on their comprehensive "Can't Wait For The Weekend" tour across the United States in 2015-2016.

Their discography spans an impressive range, with hits including "Runaway," "If You Ever Get Lonely," and "Whiskey on My Breath." Their third studio album, "Whiskey on My Breath," released in 2015, sold 114,000 copies in the US alone. Their most recent album, "Need to Breathe," was released on December 1, 2023. In addition, Stephen Barker Liles lent his songwriting talents to the film "Country Strong," co-writing the track "Kissin' in Cars."

Love and Theft's influence extends beyond their music, as they have been recognized by leading industry bodies. They received nominations for New Artist of the Year and Vocal Duo of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards in 2012. The following year, they were nominated for Top New Vocal Duo/Group and Top Vocal Duo at the Academy of Country Music Awards, as well as Duo Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards for "Runnin' Out of Air."
