Lucy Dacus is a singer-songwriter from Richmond, VA. Her debut album, No Burden, was released in February 2016 after being produced in Nashville. She then signed to Matador Records, and they released No Burden in September of that year.

Dacus released her sophomore album, Historian, in March 2018 to widespread critical acclaim.

In 2018, Dacus and her friends Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers formed the supergroup boygenius.
