Lucy Hale is an actress and singer best known for her portrayal of Aria Montgomery on ABC Family's hit television series Pretty Little Liars. The role earned her seven Teen Choice Awards, a People's Choice Awards, and many more awards and nominations.

Hale's music career blossomed in 2003, when she first came to prominence as one of the five winners of the reality show American Juniors, a children's spin-off of Fox's American Idol. She began as a solo artist with signing Hollywood Records in 2012, on her debut studio album, Road Between, released in 2014.

In 2005, she began to concentrate on acting and appeared on several television shows, including the 2007 series Bionic Woman, a re-imagining from the 1976 series of the same name. She also starred the CW’s Privileged in 2008, before winning the role of Aria Montgomery on Pretty Little Liars, which ran from 2010-17. In 2018 Hale appeared as the main character on the CW’s show, Life Sentence, and had starring roles in two 2018 films: the horror movie, Truth or Dare and the coming-of-age-role picture, Dude on Netflix.

On March 11, 2019, Hale was cast as the title character in the Riverdale spin-off series Katy Keene. Hale can also be seen in the 2020 independent romantic comedy A Nice Girl Like You and the film adaptation of Fantasy Island.
