Luvvie Ajayi Jones is what happens when you blindly follow doing what you love without expectation. Born outside the box, her brilliance is the unifying theme for all her endeavors. The New York Times best-selling author, sought-after speaker, and podcast host thrives at the intersection of comedy, media and justice. Her debut book, I'm Judging You: The Do-Better Manual, hit the New York Times best-sellers list at #5 in its first week. Her book, Professional Troublemaker, released on March 2, 2021 and has received critical acclaim.
Selected for Oprah Winfrey’s inaugural Supersoul 100 list for “elevating humanity,” Ajayi Jones is known for her trademark wit, warmth, perpetual truth-telling and trouble making. Putting into words the thoughts few dare to say; the veteran blogger could give a masterclass on disruption. Internationally recognized, she has graced stages around the globe for some of the world's most innovative companies and conferences, including Google, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, MAKERS, SXSW and the Obama White House. Her wildly popular TED talk "Get comfortable with being uncomfortable" has over 5 million views and climbing.
It is the TedTalk that almost didn’t happen if fear had anything to do with it.
Ajayi Jones was once afraid to call herself a writer and almost skipped out on her life-changing Ted Talk because of imposter syndrome. But she does not stop there. On a mission to call fear out, she hosts her podcast, “Professional Troublemaker,” where she and her guests engage in entertaining, transparent conversations about living life loudly, with courage and conviction, humor and honesty; recognizing that the things we must do are more significant than our fears.

Ajayi Jones also hosts her own social platform called LuvvNation, a safe space in a dumpster fire world, that is the go-to source for elevated conversations about all things buzzworthy and has over 14,000 members.
Luvvie is co-creator of the #SharetheMicNow2020 global movement. The campaign amplified the voices of Black women by having white women with huge followings swap social media platforms with Black women. Participants included Kourtney Kardashian, Julia Roberts, Glennon Doyle, Brie Larson, Gwyneth Paltrow, among others.
Her alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, honored her with the Outstanding Young Alumni Award and the Council of Urban Professionals presented her with their Breakthrough Award. Her work has been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, NPR, Forbes, Inc, Fortune, Essence, Chicago Tribune and more.
Born in Nigeria, bred in Chicago and comfortable everywhere, Luvvie enjoys laying around in her plush robe, eating a warm bowl of jollof rice in her free time. Her love language is shoes.

Branding Like A Boss In The Digital Age
Your "brand" is what people say about you when you aren't in the room. Being active on social media has become a necessity in this increasingly digital world. This talk will take the fear out of social media (and highlights its power) and give you the knowledge to tell the best story about who you are and what you do across platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It will also explain how to go from followers to fans and evangelists, while also highlighting the importance of building and maintaining profiles that inspire people to support your work, to defend you when you're not in the room and to cheer for you, even when you fall.
