Founder and CEO, SolarCity

Lyndon Rive is founder and CEO of SolarCity. He co-founded SolarCity in 2006 with the goal of significantly reducing the cost of solar power and increasing adoption to millions of homes and businesses. In its first full year of operation, SolarCity became the largest residential solar power provider in California. Today SolarCity is the largest full-service solar power provider in the US, with 24 operations centers in ten states and more than 14,000 projects completed or under way. Prior to SolarCity, Rive founded Everdream, an industry leader in software and services for large-scale distributed computer management. He negotiated the company’s partnership with Dell Computer, which acquired Everdream in 2007. A lifelong entrepreneur, Rive founded his first company at the age of 17 in South Africa and has been a member of the US National Underwater Hockey Team.
