Lynn Goldman currently holds the position as the Michael and Lori Milken Dean at Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University. Prior to this prominent role, Goldman served as a professor of environmental health sciences at Johns Hopkins University's Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her academic roots are deeply embedded in the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a B.S. in conservation of natural resources and an M.S. in health and medical science. Furthering her education, she acquired an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins University and an M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco.

Goldman's professional journey extended beyond academia, with her tenure as the assistant administrator for the EPA's Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention. Moreover, she took on a leadership role at the California Department of Public Health, where she headed the Division of Environmental and Occupational Disease Control. These various roles have not only showcased her leadership abilities but also her commitment to public health and environmental safety.

As a pediatrician and environmental epidemiologist, Goldman has carved a niche for herself in the intersection of health and environmental sciences. Her appointment as the immediate past chair of the board of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health, coupled with her membership in the National Academy of Medicine, further solidifies her standing in the field. With her holistic approach to public health, Goldman continues to contribute significantly to the discipline.
