Lynn Stout  

Lynn A. Stout is the Paul Hastings Professor of Corporate and Securities Law at UCLA, where she specializes in corporate governance, securities regulation and law and economics.

 Professor Stout is a national figure in these fields who publishes extensively and lectures widely. She is the Principal Investigator for the UCLA-Sloan Foundation Research Program on Business Organizations and sits on the Board of Trustees for the Eaton Vance family of mutual funds and the Board of Directors of the American Law and Economics Association. She is past Chair of the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) Section on Law and Economics and past Chair of the AALS Section on Business Associations.

Professor Stout has authored a casebook series on law and economics as well as numerous articles on corporate governance, the theory of the corporation, stock markets, finance theory, and economic and behavioral analysis of law. Before joining UCLA, Professor Stout was Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center and Director of the Georgetown-Sloan Project on Business Institutions. She also has taught at Harvard Law School, NYU Law School and the George Washington University National Law Center, and served as a Guest Scholar at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC.
