Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group; Former Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at VISA

Lynne Biggar, with over 25 years of experience in various sectors, including payments, technology, financial services, travel, and media, currently serves as a senior advisor to Boston Consulting Group, actively engaging with clients to solve for growth and opportunity. She is also an active member of not-for-profit boards, trade association boards, and advisory groups. Prior to joining BCG, Biggar was the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of Visa from 2016 to 2022. In her role, she not only oversaw all of Visa’s branding, insights, sponsorship, communications, and go-to-market consumer and client marketing activities but also was instrumental in driving shareholder value, business strategy, and advancing Visa's brand and business outcomes.

Before her tenure at Visa, Biggar worked at Time Inc. as the Executive Vice President of Consumer Marketing and Revenue. In this capacity, she was responsible for driving consumer revenue for Time Inc. brands and products across all channels, consumer insights, data solutions, and customer service. Additionally, she held direct ownership of a combined $4B+ P&Ls and managed significant brand/marketing budgets amounting to $1B annually.

Prior to Time Inc., Biggar gathered experience and honed her skills at American Express, spending more than 20 years in a range of general management and marketing positions in both the US and international divisions. She was a member of the company’s global management team, and in her most recent role, she served as executive vice president and general manager of international card products and experiences.

Apart from her corporate roles, Biggar is an accomplished independent director and committee chair with over 10 years of success with publicly traded companies, PE-backed firms, and emerging businesses. She has had significant experience across strategy development, CEO succession/transition, board composition design, crisis management, and audit matters.

Biggar's leadership and commitment to driving growth and success have been widely recognized. In 2019, she was named one of Forbes’ 2019 World’s Most Influential CMOs. In 2018, she was named one of AdWeek’s Outstanding Tech-Savvy CMOs and Most Powerful Women in Sports and to the AdWeek 50. Biggar holds a BA in international relations from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University.
