Madelyn Antoncic  

Vice President and Treasurer, The World Bank

Madelyn Antoncic is vice president and treasurer of the World Bank. She is responsible for managing approximately $140 billion in assets for the bank and other official-sector investors. She leads the financing program in international and domestic bond and derivatives markets, asset and liability management of the bank's balance sheet, development and outreach of financing and hedging products for developing-country clients, and capacity-building among member countries. Antoncic was an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where she did research on economic and money market conditions and finance. After the Fed, she spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs - more than seven of them trading structured mortgage products - and a two-year stint at Barclay's Capital. Later, she held several positions at Lehman Brothers including chief risk officer. In 2007, she turned her focus to external issues and became active in the regulatory policy debate. She holds a Ph.D. in economics and finance from New York University.
