Madi Franquiz
Founder & Director of Authoring Life, Mentor Ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation & Author
Madi Franquiz is a graduate student, small business owner, an international non-profit CEO, and a published children's author. Madi serves as a Mentor Ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation to a network of over 1,500 ambassadors around the globe. Her international nonprofit, Authoring Life, works to eradicate childhood illiteracy through early intervention by providing books, literacy resources, scholarships, and educational opportunities to children around the globe. She has represented the US as a Delegate at the World Literacy Summit in Oxford, England. In 2022, Madi was named the youngest founding member of the World Literacy Task Force operating under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4. She currently serves as its first Youth Ambassador.
Madi's mission is simple: to ensure that every child has the opportunity to acquire the literacy skills and books they need to become who they were created to be. She travels the world, using her voice to make an impact, to raise awareness about education for women and girls, literacy initiatives, overcoming adversity, faith, and more. From a student living in poverty and attending a Title 1 school, to a graduate student on track to obtain her PhD, books opened up a world of possibility that Madi did not see for herself. She wants that same opportunity for all students, regardless of their zip code.

Madi Franquiz firmly believes that she is an author, an ambassador, and advocate for children around the world because of the teachers who poured into her life at an early age. Not only does she believe it, but in "Because of You... I Can," she will prove it.
