Mamarumo Marokane’s professional acting career began in 2016 when she graduated with a diploma in Acting for Camera and Live Performance. Mamarumo sought professional acting representation in 2016 and hit the ground running, booking her first two television commercials in 2016 and later that year landed her first lead role in a television series called Grit which aired on BET. In 2017 she was cast in a supporting role on the Netflix series Shadow. Since then, Mamarumo has been seen in multiple commercials as well as in lead roles on various Mzansi Magic films, namely: Isipho Sonthando, Magenge and Wa Lepelle.

This 22-year old talent has been making waves in the entertainment industry and is most popularly known for her most recent role on MTV Shuga: Down South 2 as Dineo, an athletic tomboy studying sports science. Mamarumo describes her love for her craft as “wanting to use the gift she has been blessed with to bless others” and we have no doubt that this actor is going to do just that. Mamarumo has gone on to take further acting classes with an acting coach to continue polishing her skillset, as well as photography classes at Vega, so when she is not on an acting set, she is out with her camera capturing the simple moments life has to offer.
